Stellantis publicly acknowledged premature wear on the belt-in-oil timing system used in EB-series 1.0 and 1.2 PureTech engines. In several European markets the manufacturer is honouring belt and consequential engine damage repairs beyond the standard warranty period.
Remedy.Free inspection at an authorised dealer. If the belt shows wear or the oil pickup is contaminated by belt debris, the belt assembly (and engine, where damaged) is replaced under goodwill. Coverage typically extends up to 10 years or 175,000 km, whichever comes first.
Coverage varies by market, VIN and service history. Confirm eligibility with your local Stellantis dealer using your chassis number before paying for repairs.
